The rate-of-rise heat detector is designed to sense the rapid or abnormal temperature rising. If ambient temperature rises rapidly, the air in chamber expands and pressed the metal sheet to connect the contact point and give advance warning. When a slower temperature change occurs, the expanded air escapes through a hole to keep the pressure balance so that the fault alarm never occurs.
