开停传感器主要用于检测井下机电设备（如采煤机、提升机、破碎机、主扇、局扇、水泵、风机运输机等）的开停状态，并把检测到的开停信号转换成接点信号，集中在模拟盘及计算机显示屏上直接显示。可实现由地面对全矿机电设备的开停状态进行集中连续自动检测，并进行必要的控制。电流信号有±5mA，1mA/5mA两种可选。
