1. Coating. Such as UV curable coatings，meet with the demand of environmental protection because of its excellent performance, which have great potential for development. Hyperbranched polyester modified with double bond at the terminal groups can be widely used in UV curable coatings. The advantages are low viscosity, high reactivity , good adhesion with substrate, fast film-forming with curing, good intermiscibility mixed with other multi-functional groups. In addition, the coating based on hyperbranched polymer insteading of polyols can reduce VOC of the alkyd resin coating, improve the hardness of the coating film, and reduce the curing time to improve the solid content.

2. Polyurethane. Used as the additive or copolymerized component in both polyurethane coating and polyurethane foam, can well improve the processing and mechanical properties of polyurethane material.

3. Ink. Used as ink dispersant, can increasing the dispersibility and adhesion, such as used in ceramic ink, jet printer ink, etc.; in addition, as the matrix in making stable pigment microspheres etc.

4. Polymer blending. Used as toughening agents, crosslinking agents, dyeing auxiliaries, dispersing agent and rheology modifier in modifying of resin due to the special properties of the hyperbranched polyester, such as PE, PP, PS, PVC, PC, nylon PA6, epoxy, unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) and vinyl ester resin (VER ).

5. Leather dyes. Used as tanning agent, hyperbranched polyester can improve the immobilization and absorption of chrome tanning agent. Compared with traditional acrylic retanning agent, showing multi-end groups, good reactive activity, unique spherical structure, good stretching and rheological properties, can combine with leather collagen fibers by full range of multi-point bit to provide better flexibility and more comfortable feel. Low residual amount of fat and dye in the liquid waste, and better physical properties than traditional acrylic retanning agent.

6. Antibacterial agent. For example, can used as a fast, efficient antibacterial agent modified with neoprene chloride and dodecyl dimethyl tertiary amine to make it a quaternary ammonium salt, especially holding very strong sterilization ability of Gram-negative bacteria.

7. Water treatment. Modifying the numerous reactive groups of hydroxyl-terminaled hyperbranched polymer with other material, for example, modified with Fe3+ to synthesize a novel hyperbranched polymer flocculant, which have good performance for oil field wastewater or other wastewater.

8. Nanomaterials. Solving the reunion of nanoparticles and improving its dispersibility in the matrix are important subjects in nanomaterials research. In recent years, hyperbranched polymer grafting nanoparticles is widely concerned by polymer scientists, and obtain good results.

10. Membrane material. Hyperbranched polymer with highly branched structure, shows better penetration than the linear polymer, due to the larger free volume and pore space inside the molecules.
