Gum rosin is an important chemical raw material, widely used in soap, paper, paint, rubber, soldering fuxes and other industries.

Gum rosin (CAS 8050-09-7 ), also called as colophony balm resin or pine resin, refers to a non-volatile natural resin obtained from pines and other plants. It consists of abietic acid, oxalic acid and neoabietic acid. Gum rosin has different colors from yellow to black.
