Overview

The Kaser’s Solidstate IDE Disk (SID) is the next generation of storage solution built on proven flash memory technology, which brings new levels of durability, performance and power efficiency to both the mobility and the embedded applications.

The SID is fully IDE compatible which makes it the perfect choice to replace the traditional electro-mechanical hard disk drives. It is a perfect solution for the portable and embedded applications with restricted space and power consumption.

The SID is implemented using NAND type flash memory, which is a high density, non-volatile read/write storage device. The flash data retention is kept for a long duration at least 10 years without any battery or other power source.

The SID is a low power consumption, high capacity storage device and contains no moving parts which are the primary cause of failure and electro-mechanical delays in conventional hard drives.

It operates efficiently in harsh environments and under r ed usage. The SID is resistant to shock and vibration, thus making it the optimal solution for industrial, transportation, aerospace and military applications. It is completely bootable and no additional software such as Flash File System or Memory Technology Driver Software are required.

The Kaser SID product line is available with the capacities from 1GB to 32GB for 40-PIN IDE interface in vertical format.
