THE FIRST LOW SHRINKAGE COMPOSITE
Since their introduction, the polymerization shrinkage of light-cured resins has challenged clinicians when performing Class I and Class II restorations. Clinical implications of shrinkage include open margins, sensitivity, bond failure and recurrent caries. Bisco has introduced AELITE LS, specifically designed to address the problems caused by polymerization shrinkage in posterior teeth. The combination of patent pending resin and filler technology in AELITE LS yields a volumetric shrinkage of 1.4%, less than half the rate of many hybrid and micro-hybrid composites. The high filler content and excellent handling properties in AELITE LS makes it easy to establish occlusal contours, proximal surfaces and interproximal contacts. Radiopacity makes AELITE LS easy to identify on a radiograph.
PRINCIPLE USES OF AELITE LS:
• Class I and II restorations.
• Core build-ups to replace missing tooth structure.
AVAILABLE SHADES AND DELIVERY SYSTEMS
ÆLITE LS is available in six VITA®* shades and is provided in 4g syringes or 0.25 gram unit-dose tips. Syringe and unit-dose kits include NEW ONE-STEP® PLUS Adhesive and FORTIFY™PLUS composite surface sealant.

ACUVOL™
Accurate volumetric shrinkage is measured by BISCO using the ACUVOL. This instrument uses a video imaging technique allowing comparison of volumes of composite before and after cure (shrinkage). The ACUVOL consists of a tabletop instrument that connects to an IBM compatible computer.
