Setting up the straight pass.
Use size 10, 15 regular K file to test the root canal and get the working length.
Use D1 file to enlarge the root canal, the working length should be less than the working length of the 15 K file. Use Dx file when it is necessary (in the case of triangle dentin). The working length of the Dx should be less the working length of the D1
Reach the working length with D1
Reach the working length with D2
Reach the working length with M1
Reach the working length with M2
Use the 25# to reach the diameter. If it is blocked, then the preparation is finished.
If the 25 # file do not feel blocked, the use M3 to prepare to the working length.
Use the 30# to reach the diameter. If it is blocked, then the preparation is finished.
If the 30# file do not feel blocked, the use bigger regular K file to prepare to the working length.
Tips to use the large tapered engine file:
The engine rotates clock wise, RPM 250-350, with a fixed speed.
The engine start rotates before to put the file into the root canal, and can not stop.
Always push slightly towards the tip anytime (with 20 g)
When meeting the resistance, using the packing motion technique, keep the files moving.
Repeat the last operation, until to reach the working length.
