Guarantee high accuracy & stabilization by sub-zero treatment and thermal aging.
Increased Gripping Power
The 8 degree collets seat deeper in the body of the holder providing increased rigidity.
This also results in better concentricity and stronger gripping power.
High accuracy: Rut-out accuracy is less than 5 micron at four times the diameter of the cutting tool shank.
Due to Chongde’s special heat treatment, grinding and custom slotting process, they are what guarantee a 5 or 8 micron run out, tolerance for their “on size” fractional and metric size precision collets.
Increased Gripping Power
The smaller the taper angle is, the better concentricity is obtained.
Our steep 8 degree collet seats deeper in the body of the holder providing twice more clamping force and twice more precision than traditional 16 degree ER collets.
Standard collet can be used for high pressure coolant system.
Chongde SK collets are clamping devices that were created in 2004 and are made in China to DIN6499B. These collets assist with "a variety of machining applications including boring, milling, reaming, tapping, grinding and engraving," according the company's website. Sizes range from the SK 6 to the SK 25.

The T.I.R. (tool indicated runout) maximum length is 0.008mm for the SK collet, while the maximum T.I.R. length for the SK-UP (ultra-precision) is 0.005mm.
