Introduction of  Electrodeionization 

Electrodeionization, also known as EDI, is an electrolytic process that removes ions 
from water, is a continuous and chemical-free process of removing ionized and ionizable species from the feed water using DC 
power.

EDI is typically used to polish reverse osmosis (RO) permeate and to replace
 conventional mixed bed ion exchange, which eliminates the need to store and handle
 hazardous chemicals used for resin regeneration and associated waste neutralization
 requirements.

 Raw water:ro pure water (conductivity less than30us/cm  )

 Product water’s Resistivity more than 10MΩ.cm

 2. Process Flow:

 Raw water→ EDI supply pump→EDI device→Water use point

The advantages of EDI

The EDI system is applied in reverse osmosis system,replacing the traditional mixed 
ion exchange technology production stable deionized water.EDI system and mixed 
ion exchange technique compared with the following advantages:

The water quality stability of easy realization of full automatic control and not due 
to the regeneration and shutdown without chemical regeneration low operating
