Bonded magnets can be made from either hard ferrite materials or rare earth. They are manufactured using both injection molding and compression bonding techniques which are fully automated and are particularly suited to high volume production.
One of the greatest advantages of the injection molding process is that a high degree of shape complexity is possible? Ie. Gears, snap fits and undercuts. It is also possible to incorporate shafts, bushes and other inserts into the process, simplifying the magnetic assembly manufacturing process.
