1. Will my PC run my 3D-Ready HDTV?

The essential requirement is that your PC have a video card with a DVI video output (see photo above). Your PC will also need special software. If your PC has "integrated" graphics it probably will not be able to operate the 3D-Ready televisions. PC`s with integrated graphics do not have an removable PCI or PCIe graphics card, the graphics chips are on the motherboard. (The GeForce 7100 motherboard graphics chipset has been shown to work with 3D Ready TV`s. See, for instance,the GIGABYTE GA-73PVM-S2H 7100 motherboard.)

2. Will 3D projection work with my games?

Most all game works very well in stereo. This is because nearly all video games are written using either OpenGL or DirectX programming languages. These languages feed your video card’s all the information it needs to produce stunning 3D depth perception with an nVidia stereo driver.

3. Will I need to buy a new video card?

For the very best results 3D Flight Simulation recommends using NVIDIA graphics. This is because of the “page flipping” method NVIDIA stereo uses to display the stereo images on the computer monitor. The page flipping technique maintains the high definition of the XGA1024 x 768 screen resolution.

4. Will my video games work in 3D on my 3D-Ready HDTV.

Most likely, YES! Your PC will need to have an NVidia graphics card with DVI output. You will need to download a patch to the nVidia stereo driver (available in the download section). You will have to run the patch each time you want to start your game in 3D. Future graphics drivers will not need this patch.
