Potential counterattack box is dedicated for the connection of ground and the grounding grid, its role is to prevent damage of equipment from potential counterattack and difference ground connector counter-attack .

Because the grounding requirements of all kinds of electrical equipment  are different,  there are various forms of a single ground in the same system. Lightning or in the case of over-voltage,voltage difference will  occur  between ground and  ground , when the voltage difference increases to a certain extent (especially when the moment of the lightning current discharge  into the earth ), between  the ground  emerge  potential counter (called  counter potential), resulting in equipment damage. Potential counterattack box has  built-in high-frequency suppressors which can effectively control counter potential caused by lightning and other reasons,so it can better protect the electrical equipment.
