Black Silicon Carbide (silicon carbide)
Black Silicon Carbide is produced from quartz sand and petroleum coke in electric resistance furnaces at temperatures of more than 2,300oC.
Available Grit Sizes:
F16-F1200; P12-P1200
0-1mm,1-3mm,2-8mm,6/10mesh,200mesh,325mesh.
Other special specifications could be supplied as request.
Advantages:
Chemical stability.
Semi-friable, medium density.
Angular and extremely hard.
Applications:
Used in coated and bonded abrasive products.
Refractory and ceramic applications including ceramic armor, aerospace.
