Slot and Wedge Bolt:

Tightlok slot & wedge bolt is made of hot rolled ribbed bar(TR Bar or Rebar). One end is cut into a 100mm cross slot to insert the steel wedge; the other end is rolled thread. This bolt has been approved in Sweden Mines.

How to work

After drilling a hole and inserting steel wedge into the cross slot, drive and rotate the thread bar to ensure the wedge contacts with the surface of hole end. Impact the enternal end of the bar by drilling machine, the steel wedge will expand the slot, which leads to an expansion friction strength between rock and bolt to get a good point anchorage.
