The Pneuflex units are used as both pneumatic clutches, pneumatic brakes and air tube clutches like pneumatic drum brake, pneumatic disc clutches in general power transmission applications on all types of machinery. The primary feature of this design is the pneuflex torsional resilient principle made possible by the transmission of the power through sidewalls of the flexible rubber and cord actuating tube. These air tube clutches expand radially inwards when pressurized. This constricting tube forces friction shoes against cylindrical drums. More is the pressure more is the torque transmitted.
