Nylon is available in a variety of specialty formulations. Molybdenum disulphide-filled (MOS2 filled) and oil-filled nylons have enhanced wear properties, while heat stabilized nylon will withstand higher operating temperatures. For enhanced strength and stiffness, nylon is also available in glass-filled grades.
PA tube is recognized as the most widely used and known engineering plastic on the market and for good reason. Nylon tube has some useful features that has helped this most famous of engineering plastics into a material that currently outsells all other engineering plastics currently available. One of the reasons Nylon Rod is so successful is its ease of machine ability, Nylon Rod can be machined much easier and quicker than materials such as Bronze or Brass which have traditionally been chosen in past years. Nylon tube is also much lighter in weight than Bronze which can help dramatically with reduced labor costs and reduced risks of injury connected with some longer bearings and components.
