Antimicrobial Central Venous Catheter

1、Mechanism

The tubing is made from polyurethane which mixed with silver-containing zirconium phosphate at nanometer level, when the catheter is placed into the body, Ag+ will be released to inhibit bacteria growing.

The typical bacteria are the ant-thrombin staphylococcus, enterococcus and candida. The anti microbial central venous catheter is effective to inhibit bacteria growing, especially Gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and fungus.
