In fertilizer chemical feed gas that are made from oil, coal and coke, such as shift gas, synthesis gas, water gas, propylene and liquefied gas, COS is the main organic sulfur component. While most of synthesis catalysts are composed of noble metal, which are sensitive to the sulfur, even little of sulfur in feed gas is able to make the catalyst lose its activation.  But, the new desulfurization technology is able to clearly remove the little H₂S、COS and other sulphate in all kinds of feed gas andsolvent, making outlet sulphate bellow 0.1 ppm, thus protecting the noble metal synthesis catalyst.
