Advantage:

The Rectangular profile is the most rigid of rubber fender designs.  It may be surface mounted where tidal actions are not a consideration and where berthing angles are low. 
 It may be mounted horizontally or vertically behind timbers to provide extra cushioning where dock loading must be kept low.  It can be precurved during extrusion for solid mounting on vessels.  
This versatility in protecting both structures and vessels is enhanced by a wide range of available sizes.

Feature:

Square fenders are also commonly used on the bow or stern of smaller tugs as pushing fenders since they can be fitted closely together to reduce the risk of ropes or protrusions 
catching between adjacent sections. 
These fenders can be pre-curved, drilled, chamfered and cut to specific lengths to aid application and installation.
The Square Rubber fenders from 150 mm up to 600 mm are produced using the extrusion method and can be supplied with a circular or D bore.
