It should be noted that linear method, which measures the correlation of the size of the image of the viewed object to the actual size of the object, may yield slightly lower results. Trouble Shooting: (a)Night Vision does not turn on... 1.Reinstall the battery with the correct polarity orientation. 2.Install a fresh battery 3.Clean the battery compartment, focus on the contact points. (b)The observed image flicker or flashes If the image is flickering or flashing, there is too much light. Turn off the unit or place the objective lens cover. Note, that it is normal if the flickering occurs for a few seconds when the unit is activated in dark conditions. If the flickering continues, redirect the unit to the darker area. If the flickering does not stop, there is excessive light. (c)The image is missing or not focused 1.adjust the monocular according to the instructions in section titled Use and Testing 2.Check the surface of the eyepiece and objective lens and clean if necessary, from dust ,condensation,frost,etc. 3.Replace the battery if the battery voltage is less than 2.0V (d)Image brightness decreases or disappears This can be caused by unit being exposed to bright light sources. Turn the unit off or redirect to the darker area. Night Vision Imaging Target Sheet: You see black dots on the screen, these dots are minor cosmetic blemishes resulting from the image intensifier production processes and are not a sign of a defective or low quality unit. These dots do not interfere with the reliability and performance of the monocular. In the eXact, the quantity of dots and their size is normal as long as they do not exceed: Zone 1(center): Up to 4 very small and 2 small spots are acceptable. No medium-sized spots are acceptable. Zone 2: All very small and up to 6 small spots and 3 medium-sized spots are acceptable. Zone 3: Medium-sized spots are acceptable that do not affect the image quality.
