Due to exceptional cost performance profile, proven human safety, and environmental acceptability, alkylbenzene sulfonate (LABSA) finds universal application as a major raw material in manufacturing of household and industrial cleaners . More than 80% of LABS production is used in laundry detergents and household cleaners. The most important application products are laundry detergents, dishwashing products and industrial cleaners. LABS is also used as wetting and cleaning agent in textile and leather processing and as emulsifier in emulsion polymerization and formulation of the crop protection agents.
