Desulfurization pump used in the power plant to washing the sufer dioxide which preoduced during burning the coal. 

the desulphurization pump can not generate the poisonous by itself, it is belong to the desulphurization system in

the power plant.

Pump application:

Pump is widely used in mining, metallurgy, coal washing, power plant, sewage water treatment, 
dredging, chemical and petroleum industries. Worked with machines like ball mill, hydraulic cyclone, 
magnetic separator, press filter, etc. 
 

Material: 

a)Impeller: high-chromium alloy or rubber

b)Volute liner: high-chromium alloy, A05

c)Shaft: 45# steel thermal refining

d)Shaft sleeve/frame plate: ductile casting iron/gray casting iron

e)Shaft seal: stuffing box and expeller; strut mount and expeller; stuffing box

f)Water seal ring and disassembly ring:stainless steel

 

Motor voltage: 220V,380V,660V,1000V,6000V,1000KV.

 

How to start up the slurry pump correctly?

1. Verify that all guards, piping, and instrument connections are properly installed and tightened.

2. Open the suction valve completely

3. Fill the sump and system as full as possible.

4. Close the discharge valve,

5. Jog the motor to verify that pump rotation is correct

6. Start the motor.

7. As the pump reaches operating speed, fully open the discharge valve.

 

Safety items:

1. Do not apply heat to the impeller hub or inlet eye to assist impeller removal.

2. Do not operate the pump for an extended time with no or very low flowrate.

3. Do not feed very hot or very cold fluid into a pump at ambient temperature.

4. Ensure the pump shaft rotate according to the arrow mark.

5. Motor trial run should tripped out with the pump.  forbid reverse rotation.

6. If use stuffing seal, the pump should install the packing before running.

7. In oil lubrication, the pump should be added oil according to the oil leveler. 
Forbid oil free running.

Problem	Possible Reasons	Solutions
No liquid is sucked up	1. Air leak at the suction pipe or stuffing. 2. The direction of revolution is not correct or impeller is damaged. 3. Clogged suction pipe.	1. Stop the leak. 2. Check the direction of revolution, replace the impeller. 3. Remove debris from suction line.
The power of the shaft is too high	1. The gland assembly is too tight, and the stuffing is overheated. 2. Parts friction inside the slurry pump chamber. 3. Bearing is damaged.  4. The belt at the motor is too tight. 5. The flow rate of the pump is too high. 6. The rate of revolution of the pump is too high. 7. The motor shaft and slurry pump shaft is not co-centric or not parallel.	1. Loose the bolt of the gland assembly. 2. Adjust space to eliminate friction.  3. Replace the bearing.  4. Adjust the belt.  5. Adjust the work condition of the pump.  6. Adjust the speed of revolution.  7. Adjust the motor shaft and slurry pump shaft.
Overheating of bearing	1. Excessive or deficient lubricant at bearing. 2. Impurity in the lubricant. 3. Damage of the bearing.	1. Adjust the lubricant to an appropriate amount. 2. Replace the lubricant. 3. Replace the bearing.
