   noodle strainer
    As one cooking utensil, the noodle strainer is commonly used to fish out or remove noodles from boiling water. Today there are a wide variety of different types of metal, plastic and wooden tools produced for this purpose, however some of the traditional utensils were made of bamboo or wood and wire, which are still used in many regions to prepare noodle food dishes.     The typical noodle strainer will consist of a long handle with a strainer attached so it is positioned a safe distance away from the handle enabling the noodles to be easily placed or removed from deep pots containing boiling water.
