The Disc Chipper is the special equipment which used for reducing wood (it mainly deal with round logs, branches, bamboo, cotton stalks) into smaller and uniform wood chips, which is used as material in pulp & paper industry, biomass industry, fiber and particleboard plants, and also well suitable as fuel for high intensity burning in modern heating plants.

    Disc chipper machine has a large steel disc with cutting baldes attached, the wood material is drawn from the hopper and then moved toward the rotating disc, the blades slice woods into the chips, all blades are replaceable and can generally be sharpened for longer period of use.

    The dimension of chips which processed by disc chipper are usually determined by the number of knives and their setting, the disc rotating speed and the feeding speed, differing these parameters or removing one or more blades, adjusting the associated slot will help to control the fina chip size.
