Session Border Controller product is Voice over IP network boundary gate, 

mainly used to solve voice conversations in the network address translation 

traversal problems and provide secure IP communications support, it can 

provide voice quality protection. Usually deployed in VoIP service provider 

network, Network edge (softswitch platform and voice access gateway), or 

deployment in the enterprise / VPN network exports. It is in real-time  between the IP network call signaling and voice media stream processing 

and control, supporting VoIP business conduct. SBC IP voice interconnection 

performs real-time communication requirements, such as access control, 

firewall  traversal, voice compression reduction, signaling interworking, 

information security (encryption and decryption), intercepting illegal access, 

and quality of service (QoS) for management..
