Introduction of Gas Genset

16V165RQ gas engine is designed and developed based on the Germany MTU 16V396 permit diesel engine, has good power performance, economical efficiency, safety and reliable running, convenient operation and maintenance and long life characteristics.

Mainly used for natural gas, CBM, landfill methane, etc

    This design keeps Germany MTU engine main structure unchanged, designs and develops the gas distribution system, air intake system and combustion system, gas control system, ignition control system and control of motor speed control system and other special system and its components according to the characteristics of the fuel gas combustion

    

Characteristics of design

2.1 Bypass circulatory system

Ensure the heat balance of internal combustion engine doesn’t change because of the diesel fuel oil change into gas, in favor of all the moving parts of the gas machine to keep the original design of the best working state

2.2 Closed (double circulation) cooling water system

With both high and low temperature two way water-cooled circulation system technology, 165RQ MTU can ensure the temperature of turbo air be lower and stable, this makes we choose the cooling type of Gas Genset more flexible.

2.3 Germany MTU company efficient technology of plate heat exchanger

The integrated design of Plate heat exchanger and Machine with cooling water pump reduces the unit volume and increases the operation reliability.

2.4 Germany MTU proprietary double water-cooled walls supercharger, the exhaust pipe wall technology system of three layers

The whole thermal radiation of machine is only 45kw, reduces the heat radiation outward, increases the volume efficiency to ensure efficient pressurization. It reduces the amount of radiant heat unit and room temperature, without bare high temperature parts, increases the safety of the unit operation.

2.5 Germany MTU cylinder head and four valve spinning technology

It makes the inlet and exhaust more smoothly and forms more small vortices, more conducive to mixture combustion

2.6 Germany MTU split type piston

The design of steel head and aluminum alloy bottom reduces the inertia force of the piston, improves the corrosion resistance and bearing capacity on the top of the piston. The design of deep pit/low clearance increases the torque, improves the combustion efficiency, cooling effect and the reliability of operation of piston, reduces the fuel consumption and Implements the lower emissions with the oil nozzle cooling.

2.10 Application of related parameters

2.10.1 The unit adopts the water cold water cooling method

This kind of cooling method common applied to the spontaneous power station or special environments.( ship power station, an island power station and offshore platforms.)

The spontaneous power station common adopts the cooling pond, cooling tower and circulating water pump and engine cooling water system in a closed loop cooling system.

Ship power station, an island power station and offshore platforms common cools the engine with the seawater.

2.10.2 The demands of the unit adopts the water cold water cooling method with external interfaces

The engine water flow is 70m3/h；

The water temperature of engine inlet and outlet pipe is 65~72℃/78~85℃, required temperature difference is about 15 ℃

Engine pump flow is 65 m3 / h

The external water pressure pipe road DIN100, Foreign water outlet pipe DIN100, Flange mounting hole 8 - phi 18

External water temperature ≤30℃; External water pressure -20~+50kPa

Gas interface DIN60; The flange mounting holes 4 phi – 13

The exhausting interface DIN270; Flange mounting hole 8 phi – 12

2.10.3 The assembling unit uses "Radiator" (high and low temperature circulating water cooling) types of cooling

This cooling method is generally common in water or special circumstances (such as desert plants, cars of mobile and oil field working platform

    Tank cooling method of using generators commonly known as a closed loop cooling system
