Pelton turbine only uses the kinetic energy of the water flow. With the help of a special guide device (e.g. nozzle), the high pressure flow is transformed into high speed free jet. Through the interaction of jet flow and rotating impeller, the energy within fluid is translated into the mechanical energy of the rotating shaft. And electricity is generated as the generator is driven by rotating shaft.
