As a result of these characteristic, it's widely used in various line,such as thickener and moisture retainer in food industries,binder for briquettes in coal industry,for water holding properties in agricultural labs,agri fields and in oil well drilling to prevent water loss,and a wet end additive to the pulp in the paper industries.
