Definition of Unit (U/g)

One unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme which hydrolyzes 1g soluble starch at 60 ºC and pH 6.0 in 1 hour.

Functions

Supply the deficiency of the endogenous amylase of young animal

Hydrolyze starch containing in feed to generate dextrin and sugar, increase the utilization of feedstuff

Reduce the high viscosity of the starch slurry, facilitate the contact between digestive enzymes and chyme so as to improve nutrition absorption and utilization

Improve the utilization of energy, lower feed conversion ratio and improve animal production performance

Loss on Drying : less than 8%

pH: optimum pH between pH4.0-pH6.5 and best performance from pH 4.5 to pH 5.5
