Introduction of Cosmetic-Grade y-PGA

y-PGA, a homo-polyamide, is formed by crosslink of y-amino and y-carboxyl groups from D-glutamic acid and L-glutamic acid monomers. It is biodegradable, a safe and environment-friendly bio-product. Its function include moisturizing, thickening, emulsification, film formation, heat preserving, controlled-release, dissolving assistance and adhesion. It is being widely used in cosmetics, agriculture, water and wasterwater treatment, food industry, health care and medical treatment.

Features of Cosmetic-grade y-PGA

Introduction of Agriculture-Grade y-PGA

Agriculture-Grade y-PGA, a slow-release factor of fertilizer, is produced by Bacillus subtilis from health food “natto” and using submerged fermentation biotechnology with glucose and glutamate as the main raw material. It has the properties of high water retention, being easily absorbed, slow-releasing of fertilizers and so on. It also contains auxin, cytokinin and other hormones that benefit plants, which can coordinate the growth of crop. y-PGA can be slowly degraded into glutamate by microorganism in soil, and glutamate can be absorbed by crops, so y-PGA will not change the structure of soil.

Quality standards of Agriculture-Grade y-PGA

We provide two types agriculture-grade y-PGA products.

Agriculture-grade y-PGA (liquid type): liquid, y-polyglutamic acid ≥ 2%, also contains other organic substances and mineral elements. Customers can directly mix it with fertilizers containing available N.P.K. elements before use.

Agriculture-grade y-PGA (solid type): beige powder, y-polyglutamic acid ≥ 30%, also contains other organic substances and mineral elements. Customers can blend it with fertilizer according to their own need.
