Working principle of LIVI loss-in-weight feeder

Loss-in-weight feeder is a quantitative feeding device that adopts subtraction calculation weighing method, which can figure out the amount of material flow according to the reduction rate of materials in unit time. The feeding system controls the discharge material flow through static weighing feeding system (material bin, feeder and scale), variable speed motor and vibration motor.

When materials are discharged from the system through screw rod, the system will compare the “weight loss” measured per unit time with needed feeding amount (preset value). The difference between actual (measured) material flow amount and expected (preset) amount will make the feeding controller send a correction signal. The controller can automatically adjust feeding speed by sending analog quantity signal to frequency converter or direct-current?motor controller and conduct precise feeding without delay. When the material weight in hopper reaches the lowest level (refeeding), the controller will make the feeding system feed according to volume, and then the above hopper will replenish materials (manual or automatic). After the material supplement period ended, the system will recover to loss weight calculation method automatically.

The whole feeding control system adopts closed loop control system; it achieves reliable and accurate feeding by acquiring the material weight at real time with accuracy of 1/ 2000000 and a frequency of 5 times per second, figuring out the martial flow and adjusting the flow value at real time by adjusting the speed of drive.
