Psyllium can often have been sterilised using radiation or ethylene trioxide though which in themselves are not good for us. By sterlising the psyllium using steam sterlisation the psyllium is clear of pathenogenic bacteria, protosean parpasites and leaves you with no unwanted contaminants.
