Phosphor Bronze Strip C5191 & C5210

*Summary of this product:

Phosphor Bronze is the alloy where 0.03 ～ 0.35wt％ of phosphorus content as a deoxidizing agent is added to a component consisting of 3 ～ 9wt％ tin content and 91 ～ 97wt％ copper content. Both its strength and spring properties are improved by increasing the tin content in this composition. On the other hand, high electrical conductivity can be gained by decreasing the tin content.

Phosphor bronze is used as material for electrical devices due to its excellent strength and spring properties, and is widely used as high-reliability spring materials due to its excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance. On the basis of long-term studies and actual results, our phosphor bronze is processed through repeated annealing and rolling to continuous casting slabs, and its plates and strips are finally finished by a precision 6-high mill or a 20-high mill, while its wires are finished by a reverse-tension drawing mill. As a result, its extremely stabilized qualities are rated highly.

*Feature and Usage:

Phosphor bronze plates (strips) for springs: Used as precision leaf springs for high-performance electrical devices, contact springs, volume sliders, jacks and the like due to their excellent strength and corrosion resistance, and spring properties and workability superior to the other kinds of phosphor bronze.

Phosphor bronze plates (strips) : Used as materials for springs and deep drawing, which are springs for electrical devices, connectors, volume sliders, IC lead frames, bellows, diaphragms, and the like. Although C5111 has a slight disadvantage in its spring properties, it is desirable for uses that require electrical conductivity.
