Hydrophilic fumed silica is an artificially synthesized, white, amorphous, nontoxic and tasteless inorganic nano-chemical. It is derived from silicon tetrachloride by high heat flame hydrolysis. Due to the unique features of small particle size, large specific surface area and highly active surface, fumed silica is widely applied in silicon rubber, paint, adhesive, printing ink, plastic, comestic, agriculture and pharmacy. It's functions include reinforcement, thickening, thixotropy, extinction, sterilization, anti-UV light and etc.
