Customer requirement: Almost every newly established building has a computer room to monitor the important parts status of the building, for example, light, smoke, air conditioning, video monitoring and so on. And there are lots of devices in the computer room, like air condition, UPS,etc. The normal operation of these devices will guarantee the normal working of the building, so it is necessary to monitor these devices. Attendance&Access system and so on.

 

Advantages: Actually TCP Client model is use in this case, customer’s application program used as TCP server, passive to wait for serial server’s connection. In the serial server, an IP address and port number need to be set in advance. After connection, the console room can do data interaction with every monitoring device in the building.

 

Solution: we use the serial server’s ports to connect with every serial devices, like smoke detector, temperature humidity sensor, power distribution equipment, UPS, air conditioning, and so on. Ethernet port connects to the building’s existing network, then we can monitor every device’s status at the console room’s server, so as to ensure the normal operation of the building.
