Longkou Vermicelli is well known for the good quality in all over the world,the origin of longkou vermicelli lies in Zhaoyuan,Yantai city,shandong province,China, people use mung bean starch to make longkou vermicelli by hands in tradtionally ,for the high price of raw materials mungbean starch ,zhaoyuan people use pea starch to instead of mungbean starch to process this glass noodles, the quality of pea starch vermicelli is almost the same as mungbean starch noodles, so now the ingredients of longkou vermicelli is pea starch and water, in order to taste vermicelli soft or quick cooking, you can add little potato starch , we name it instant vermicelli,  this high quality vermicelli is mainly exported to Japan or EU countries; there are also bean vermicelli which is mixed with corn starch or wheat starch, someone called them corn vermicelli or wheat vermicelli, these vermicelli noodles are popular in Southeast Country.
