The Flattening reduces the thickness (gauge) of the material and bonds it down creating Flat Expanded Metal.As with the Standard Expanded Metal, this material is used in many fields such as Security, Power stations, Machine guards, and storage. Flattened expanded metal is available in Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium and many other Alloys. Flattened Expanded Metal is Regular Expanded Metal that has been passed through flattening rolls (cold rolled). This rolling process reduces the thickness of the sheet, stretches the pattern of the sheet, and provides a smooth flat finish.
