The laminated rubber bridge bearing mainly delivers the upper structural reaction of the bridge to the abutment reliably to adapt to the top rotation and the free deformation of the upper structure through the shearing deformation (horizontal displacement and angle rotation) of the rubber bearing. According to these requirements, the laminated rubber bearings shall have enough vertical rigidity to guarantee the bearing has small flexible deformation under the maximum vertical load as well as certain horizontal flexibility to adapt to the rotation the horizontal displacement of the beam caused by braking force, temperature, concrete shrinkage, creep and load.
