Due to its relatively low price compared with heavy oil and natural gas as well as its easy availability in the world market, pet.coke has been adopted as fuel by more and more glass factories in recent years, effectively reducing glass production cost. Furnace fired by natural gas or heavy oil can be changed to pet.coke fired in normal operation of glass production lines.
