Introduction:
Self-aligning Ball Bearing has a spherical outer ring raceway, the balls and cage continue to rotate, this type of bearings is suitable when the displacement of the centers around which the shaft and housing rotate and shaft deflection are likely to occur.
Self-aligning ball bearings are double row, self-retaining units comprising outer rings with a concave raceway, inner rings with a cylindrical or tapered bore and ball and cage assemblies. The bearings are available in open and sealed designs.
