ABC cable (Aerial Bundled conductor )

aerial bundled Conductor  are Overhead Power Lines using several insulated phase conductors bundled tightly together, usually with a bare neutral conductor.

Applications of abc cable
Primarily used for overhead service applications such as street lighting, outdoor ligthing, and temporary service for construction. To be used at votages for 600 phase-to phase or less and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75degree for polyethylene(PE) insulated conductor or 90 degree for crossliked polyethylene(XLPE) insulated conductors.

Constructions of abc cable

Conductor material:may be made of round , stranded and compacted AAC, ACSR, AAAC.
Insulation: HDPE, XLPE, PVC, Rubber，PE
 
MAX. short-circuit temptature of the conductor :
PVC insulated cable:  160 oC         
PE insulated cable:  150oC          
XLPE insulated cable: 250oC
The installation ambient temperature shuld be not below -20oC
