The artificial graphite powder (grain) is made by graphitization heat treatment of high-quality low-ash petroleum coke at high temperature of 2800°C or above in vacuum. The product is featured by high carbon content, low hardness, high temperature resistance, large porosity and low heat conductivity coefficient. Compared with the traditional natural graphite and calcined coke, it can obviously improve caking property and stabilize friction coefficient, maintains the stable and comfortable braking process, and reduce the damage to mating plate surface, brake noise, wear and cost, and is an ideal material for the friction material plant.
