Sternallink

Overview:

The Sternalink is an interlocking plate system designed to achieve compression across the sternotomy after open heart surgery. Two opposing ‘claws’ are seated in the intercostal spaces and instrumentation is used to engage the two components whilst reducing and compressing the sternotomy.

Description: 

The Claw is utilises the underlying philosophy of the Sternalink range and has been specifically designed for closure of the manubrium. Carefully contoured for maximum patient comfort, the Claw allows for maximum stability of the manubrium whilst respecting the patient morphology. The instrumentation allows for compression across the sternotomy to optimise healing of the bone and stability of the shoulder girdle for fast patient recovery.
