Bromelain is a mixture of protein-digesting enzymes found in pineapples (Ananas comosus). Bromelain supplements contain active substances that aid digestion and help reduce inflammation.

Bromelain is useful in the treatment of a wide range of conditions, but it is particularly effective in relieving inflammation associated with infection and physical injuries.

Bromelain 2400 GDU is one of the highest natural potencies of this proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzyme available. While most enzymes are generally considered to be poorly absorbed, Bromelain is one of the most bioavailable of all enzymes and has been the subject of numerous studies worldwide. Although Bromelain is derived from pineapple, supplementation is necessary to achieve optimum levels of this enzyme

Application of Bromelain

1. In food industry
A. Bakery. Bromelain can dissolve the gluten of dough to soft it. It can improve the flavor and quality of bread.
B. Cheese. Bromelain can congeal casein.
C. Meat tenderization. Bromelain can tenderize meat. It can hydrolyze macromolecule proteins to small molecules of amino acids and micromolecule proteins. Bromelain is widely used in the fashioning of meat.
