Principle

Radar level meter antenna emits very narrow microwave pulse, the pulse microwave progagates in space as the speed of light, and is reflected back from the measured medium surface, then is received by the same antenna. The time interval of emission pulse microwave and receiving microwave is in proportional to the distance from the antenna to the measured meduim surface. CID series Radar level meter uses a special kind of coherent demodulation technique, can accurately identify the time interval of microwave and microwave emission to further calculate the distance between the antenna and the surface of measured medium.

Input

Antenna receives the reflected microwave pulses and transmits it to the electronic circuit, the micrprocessor processes this signal, identify the microwave pulse echo generated at the surface of the material. Correct echo signal recognition is completed by the intelligent software, can reach millimeter accuracy. The distance from the material surface D is in proportion to pulse time stroke T.  

D=C X T/2. Where C is the speed of light, the empty cans distance E is known, then level L=E-D.

Output

Through inputting empty cans height E (= zero point), full cans height F (=full range) and some application parameter to set, application parameter will be automatically adapt to the measure environment. Corresponding to 4 ~ 20mA output.
