Polymer gel, foam, oil-soluble resin, halite and other materials have been used as diverting agent during the development of acidifying chemical diverting technology. However, all these diverting agents need multi-stage alternate injection of acidizing fluid and diverting agent during the construction. SL-VDA clean self-diverting acid system is a novel acidizing fluid developed by the company for simplifying the construction process of diverting acidification. It contains no solid-phase particle and polymer, and mixed acidizing fluid is achieved after its surfactant molecule SL-VDA is mixed with hydrochloric acid or mud acid, the concentration of acidizing fluid decreases and its viscosity grows remarkably with the reaction between the acidizing fluid and the oil reservoir. Thereby, its effective role of diversion guiding and acidizing-fluid leak-off reduction is achieved, the penetration depth and processing scope of acidizing- fluid is increased, and the effect of acidification or acid fracturing transformation is improved.

Field Application of SL-VDA Clean Self-diverting Acid System

Since the successful development of SL-VDA clean self-diverting acid, it has been successively tested in Sinopec Zhongyuan Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield, North China subsidiary, etc. By Dec 2008, SL-VDA clean self-diverting acid has been promoted and applied to the field for an accumulative total of 40 wells/times, and the mission success rate is as high as 100%, the efficiency is 95%, the oil output of the 40 wells increased by an aggregate of 38,277t, and it will continue to be effective.

This product is made of galvanized metal pail, net mass 200 ± 1kg; product stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
