EDV-838 Electrical Cleaner

 

Thanks for your purchase of EDV-838 cleaner, in order to help familiarize yourself with the product and quality assurance, please read the instruction carefully before the usage.

 

The EDV-838 electric cleaner is the upgrade version of EDV-136 with a dry clean of all the dirt/particles etc., regular and stubborn contaminants on the fiber end face of all regular connectors as SC/FC/LC/MU/E2000 etc., PC/APC patch cord or bulkhead etc., female and male adaptors. The cleaning material inside the cleaner presses the end face under certain pressure, absorbs and takes out the dusts via an electrical sweeping way in seconds to finish the clean. It offers a high efficiency clean solution to the clients since it’s most applied in the QA clean for patch cord/module/transceiver manufacturer and complex network maintenance personnel.

Adaptors Introduction

 

The adaptor integrates both functions of female and male clean, it offers a more convenience to the operators for all regular cleaning with no switches. Insert the adaptor along the drive shaft of cleaner body； Screw the adaptor base to lock it fully

 

 

 

 

Cleaning sticks/refill Introduction

 

The unique cleaning material (cleaning sticks) inside the cleaner is specially processed and tested for repeated use up to 30-60times/stick and reaches an 98% cleanliness in an greater content from core to the ferrule/contact zone. Plus the material is wear/high-temperature-resistant that it has no break and drop in use. Its elasticity and thickness also help avoid the scratch when working and its porous property guarantees the absorbed capability of dusts and reuse feature without secondary pollution.

Clean Material Notice

 

• No fluid is s ested in use or the performance will be seriously damaged due to a dry clean ;
• Always keep the sticks ventilated and dry;
• Keep the storage temperature of±20℃and humidity within 30%;
• Drying is recommended if the storage time is beyond 3months
• No clean effect on the scratch/dents etc., original defects;

Male Clean

Take off the dust-free cap

 

 

Back and Forth

 

• Insert the cleaning stick, screw the base, take off the cap;
• Insert the ferrule into the opening of adaptor to touch the end;
• Press the power key and push the adaptor back and forth to finish the clean within 3-5s.

 

Female Clean

 

 

Back and Forth

Take off the male cap

 

• Insert the cleaning stick, screw the base，take off the dust-free and male cap;
• Insert the adaptor into the connector to touch the end;
• Press the power key and push the adaptor back and forth to finish the clean within 3-5s.

 

Operation Notice

 

• Before Clean：Make sure the cleaning material is un-wetted without shedding before use.
• Cleaning：Keep the adaptor aligned with the connector and control the distance of back and forth within 3mm and interval time around 1.5s per time to get the optimal effect.
• After Clean：Must remove the cleaner before the power is off to avoid any potential secondary pollution.
