Long-term locked torque motor type cable reel series JM is especially suitable for harsh environments, such as
mining, cement material plants, steel mills and other workplaces with large dust for its simple structure.

The structural characteristics of the long-term locked torque motor type cable reel:

1. Driving part Host by Long time locked rotor torque motor, special gearbox and sliding ring collector boxes
1) Characteristic
a. The tension is constant from drum empty to full, and this kind of cable reel is suitable for working condition of long time lower speed and frequent positive and negative rotation.
b.The difference from common motors is that locked rotor current is small and locked rotor motors can rotate in positive or negative for long time.
c. Locked rotor motor will be tested for 8 to 10 hours before assembling, and temperature rise is less than 65k. The reduction of locked rotor torque will be within 5% in thermal state.
d. Brake working theory : When exciting coils of brake are switched on rated voltage (DC), electromagnet force attracts armature to separate (release) from brake disc, and the brake disc rotates following rotation of motor shaft. When the motor is power off, the brake is also power off, the spring forces armature on brake disc and friction torque will stop motor shaft quickly.

2. Power(signal) transmitting part: sliding ring collector boxes
According to different purposes, they include power transmitting and signal transmitting; According to different voltage,they include 500V, 3KV, 6KV, 10KV, etc

3.Drum part: Drum
Drum can be divided into multi-line or single line winding. To transport conveniently, the drum with diameter not more than 2.6m will be transported in whole unit; The drum with diameter more than 2.6m will be transported in two semicircles, and assembled on user’s site.

Working theory of cable reel:

The power and speed adjustment of long time locked rotor torque motor cable reel will be taken on by motor, and this kind of motor has unique electric and mechanical characteristics. The motor has wide field of speed adjustment and soft mechanical characteristics. The working rotation speed of motor will change following various load. The rotation speed will reduce when load increases, and rotation speed will increase when load reduces. The motor can work stably for long time on any point of mechanical characteristic curve of rotation torque and rotation speed, so cable on drum can achieve proper reeling speed and pulling force. Note that even on the process of releasing cable, cable reel drive motor should be in power-up state, and int the same direction of receiving cable .

1.release cable
In power-up state,the output torque will block cable to be pulled out quickly, and this keeps synchronization of cable
releasing.

2. reel cable
In power-up state, it will drive drum to reel cable after reducer lowers output torque of motor.

3.motor power off
The long time locked rotor motor has adjustable normal close brake, which can guarantee cable will not fall down due to gravity when motor is power off.
