Dry type transformer, also called dry type distribution transformer or dry type power transformer, is a kind of voltage transformer utilizes air cooling method to reduce its working temperature. Compared with oil immersed transformer, dry type transformer is kind of transformer whose iron core and winding are not immersed in the insulation oil. The cooling methods of dry type transformer are divided into natural air cooling (AN) and forced air cooling (AF). When in the condition of natural air cooling, dry type transformer can be operated long-term continuously under the rated capacity. When in the condition of forced air cooling, the output capacity of dry type transformer can increase by 50%. Dry type transformers are widely used in local lighting, high-rise buildings, airports, places with mechanical equipment, etc.

Relative humidity: < 70%.
Altitude: ≤ 2500 m.
Avoid rain, moisture, high temperature, intense heat or direct sunlight. The radiating vent of the transformer and the surrounding object should be not less than 40 cm.
To prevent working in the places where contains corrosive liquid, gas, dust, conductive fibers or metal chips.
To prevent work in a place of vibration or electromagnetic interference.
Avoid long-term upside down storage and transportation, can not be affected by a strong impact.
