Universal style couplings, also known as "Chicago Couplings", are most commonly used on hose lines connecting pneumatic tools to a compressed air source. Firmly pressing one coupler to another and twisting seals the connection. Safety clips prevent accidental disconnection during use. A convenient quick connect system to mate varying diameters of hose as all sizes up to 1 inch are interchangeable. Sizes over 1 inch have a four lug design.

Also known as "CP", "Air King", and "Chicago Fittings". Made from iron in multiple configurations, these couplings utilize a lug twist-to-connect process to interlock fittings. 

Usage:

The use of an Air King safety clip or wire type retainer is necessary to assure Air King couplings will become accidentally disconnected. This guarantees the fittings are properly connected as pin will not go through holes in mating flanges until couplings are locked in place. Only one Air King safety clip or wire type retainer is required for each Air King universal coupling.
